Two SECHC Players, Coach selected to ACHA D3 Select team

The ACHA D3 Select program has announced the roster of players that will be traveling to Europe over the Christmas/New Year break and two SECHC players have been selected to the team.

Georgia Ice Dogs forward and SECHC 2011-12 Most Valuable Player Peter Kacer and Georgia goalkeeper Vince DiCarlo were selected to the team. Along with the two players, Georgia Ice Dogs head coach John Hoos was announced as an assistant coach for the team.

“I am thrilled that the SECHC had two players named to this team,” said SECHC Commissioner Kenny Day. “It is an honor to be selected as there are many deserving players who could have been named to this team.”

The roster was selected from across ACHA D3.  Following the ACHA D3 National tournament this past season, almost all of the ACHA D3 local leagues sent a select team to the All-Star Challenge in Philadelphia, PA.  Each team scouted by the Select Team selection committee who were ultimately responsible for making the player selections.
