Arkansas, Florida and South Carolina have secured their spots in the South Eastern Collegiate Hockey Conference Tournament Feb. 7-9.
Arkansas clinched the top spot in the West Division, while Florida had clinched the East Division.
South Carolina has also secured its spot in the tournament and has finished in the second spot on the East Division.
The 2014 SECHC Tournament take place in Pelham, Ala. on the weekend of February 7-9. This is the third year the tournament will be hosted at the Pelham Civic Complex in the Birmingham, Ala. suburb.
The format will be similar to last year’s tournament. It will bring eight teams once again, like last season, with opening rounds being held Friday, Feb. 7. The format will include four teams from each division.
This will be the sixth year of the tournament. Tennessee took the Inaugural championship in 2009, which was held in Pelham, Ala. Arkansas claimed the next two tournament championships, winning in 2010 at Pelham, Ala. and in 2011 in Columbus, Ga. Alabama took the SECHC title in the 2012 season, the first in Huntsville, Ala. Arkansas won last year’s tournament, which was also held in Huntsville, Ala.
