SECHC Names Michael Dutka Player of the Week

The South Eastern Collegiate Hockey Conference would like to congratulate Michael Dutka on being named this week’s SECHC Player of the Week recipient after an outstanding performance in two games this past weekend against the Mississippi State Ice Dawgs.

In two games, Dutka earned 14 points in winning efforts that saw the Ice Gators win 11-3 and 19-4 at the Jacksonville Ice Complex.

Dutka also had three goals and two assists in Friday nights win. He topped that performance with a four goal, five assist night on Saturday. Dutka also avoided the penalty box in both games.

The 14-point weekend was a career best for Dutka, as the junior forward nearly surpassed his statistics earned in the 2010-11 season. Last year, Dutka earned 15 (four goals, 11 assists) points in 24 games. In the 2009-10 season, he earned 12 (11 goals, one assist) points in 17 games.
