Schedule and Results, Sept 29 – Oct 2

Eight SECHC teams play a total of 13 games in a busy out-of-conference schedule this weekend. Tonight, the Ice Vols of Tennessee (0 – 0) open their season at Roanoke, while South Carolina (0 – 1 – 1) travels north to Pineville, NC to try to notch their first win of the young season against Johnson & Wales. The Gamecocks look to bounce back after two tough losses, including one in overtime, to Vanderbilt last weekend.

The Georgia Ice Dogs (0 – 0), fresh off a 3rd place finish in last year’s SECHC Tournament, begin their season as they visit Kennesaw State on Friday night. The Owls of Kennesaw State will host Alabama (0 – 0) on Saturday night, the day after the Frozen Tide open their season against Georgia Tech.

The Arkansas Ice Hogs (2 – 1) have a busy slate of games in the state of Missouri, as they take on Division II Lindenwood on Friday and Saturday in Wentzville, Missouri, and the Division II Missouri Tigers on Sunday.

The Auburn Tigers (0 – 1) seek their first win of the season as they play a home-and-home series against the Florida State Seminoles. The teams will not have to travel far as they both play their home games in the Columbus Ice Rink in Columbus, Georgia.

The two other games on Friday night will showcase the two remaining undefeated teams in the SECHC. The Florida Gators (2 – 0) host Clemson on Friday, while the Vanderbilt Commodores (4 – 0) will battle Georgia State on Friday and Georgia Tech on Saturday.

The state of Mississippi has the weekend off as both Ole Miss (4 – 2) and Mississippi State (0 – 2) do not play again until Friday, October 7th.
