Seven Conference teams will be in action this weekend as the South Eastern Collegiate Hockey Conference season kicks off with three conference games. In total, nine games will be played over three days.
Ole Miss (4-0) returns to action for the third straight weekend. This time, the Rebels hit the road for Central Florida, playing the power team of the South Region over the last decade.
Arkansas (0-1) also returns to action as the defending SECHC Champions will be looking to bounce back after an opening week loss to Division I opponent Oklahoma. The Hogs host Missouri State at the Jones Center in Springdale, Ark.
Vanderbilt (2-0) steps into the conference battle this week as the Commodores travel to South Carolina (0-0) to face new head coach Brian Bauman and the Gamecocks. The Commodores come off a pair of wins against Memphis last week. South Carolina will be playing its first two games of the year.
Florida (0-0) and Mississippi State (0-0) have the other conference game on tap for this weekend. The two will both be playing their first games of the year. Friday nights game will be a conference match while Saturday’s game will be a non-conference affair.
Auburn is the final SECHC team getting into action this weekend as the Tigers open up their second season with Georgia Tech at home on Sunday.
