Mark Wysock Named SECHC Player of the Week

The South Eastern Collegiate Hockey Conference names Mark Wysock this week’s SECHC Player of the Week recipient after an outstanding performance at the Huntsville Showcase.

“It was a good weekend,” Wysock said. “We played some really strong teams.”

The senior recorded four goals and five assists while in his hometown of Huntsville.

“I was glad I was able to do well this year in Huntsville,” Wysock said. “We played there last year and I don’t think I got any points, so it was good this time.”

Wysock has been with the Frozen Tide since he was a freshman in 2008. During his freshman year, he recorded 67 points.

Last year, Wysock recorded 32 points with the Frozen Tide.

Wysock was named a first team All-SECHC forward in 2010 and participated in the All-Star tournament.

“I hope our team continues to get better,” Wysock said. “We will see where we end up. Hopefully we will have a chance at nationals.
