The Frozen Tide fell in its three remaining games in Michigan over the weekend.
Alabama lost to Northwood College 3-2 on Friday in Midland, Mich.
The Frozen Tide’s Reed Finch’s shot hit the net first in the second period of the game. Northwood scored two goals to take the score to 2-1 at the end of the second. Northwood would score again in the third. Frozen Tide’s Sean Keeler tallied the last goal of the game with 2:07 left taking the final score to 2-3.
Sean Vinson recorded 26 saves for the Frozen Tide. Alabama had 30 shots on goal against Northwood.
The Frozen Tide stayed in Midland and faced Calvin College on Saturday. The Frozen Tide fell 6-1 in the game.
Reed Finch would score the Frozen Tide’s only goal of the game. Goalkeeper Sean Vinson record 29 saves in the loss.
The Frozen Tide traveled to East Lansing, Mich., on Sunday to play Michigan State University. The Tide started the game with an early lead, but fell 5-2 in the end.
Reed Finch scored a power-play goal from Mark Wysock and Matt Mayes. Brandon Butler scored the Frozen Tide’s second goal on the power play from Zach Dailey. John Bierchen played in goal for the Frozen Tide.
The Frozen Tide will travel to Florida to play another four games in four days on Oct. 27-Oct. 30.
