Arkansas Wins the 2010 SECHC Championship

March 1, 2010 – On Friday, Saturday and Sunday, The University of Alabama Frozen Tide and the Pelham Civic Complex hosted the second annual SECHC Championship. The ten hockey teams of the Conference converged on the Pelham Civic Complex for three days of competition to decide the Southeastern Collegiate Hockey Conference Champion.

Arkansas and Florida lived up to the No. 1 and No. 2 seedings that gave them a first round bye as the swept through Saturday to the championship game Sunday. Arkansas, the favorite coming into the tournament defeated Florida 6-2 to join Tennessee as a SECHC Champion.

Alabama defeated Georgia for third place at the tournament. The defending champions, Tennessee, defeated South Carolina for fifth place.
